Germans Improvement Pack
Hello there, Kaiser_Mobius here with a new nation improvement pack for Rise of Nations. This time, I have added some new textures and other details for Germany in Rise of Nations.
First, I renamed the Volksgrenadiers and Tiger Tanks to Panzergrenadiers and Konigstiger Tanks. Next, I added four new German leaders: Kaiser Wilhelm II, Adolf Hitler, Konrad Adenauer, and Angela Merkel.
The vast majority of the mod consists of new textures for German unique units as well as regular units that were based on German vehicles and aircraft, as well as V2 missiles in the modern age. For many of the basic units I ended up going for more of an Afrika Korps look as I really liked the colour. Any country in the game that uses these units can use the new textures.
I am also sort of on the fence with how the textures for the hummel, King Tiger, and Leopard came out. I think they turned out alright but I want people to let me know if I should try changing them.
I may come back to this mod in the future to add some new unique units from the industrial to information age time frame. Things like WW1 stormtroopers, beutepanzers, information era infantry or WW2 era u-boats, maybe enlightenment era infantry. This depends if people care about overwriting the ancient to medieval era units to be able to do this. I also want to try and modify the king tiger so that it is an extra tank for the modern age, allowing Germany to build both king tigers and regular panzers.
The only major bug or glitch I want to mention is that the new German heinkel bombers show up in the airbase with the helicopter icon, and need to be ejected from the airbase either with a rally point or the scramble button to be used.
