Viking invasions for Age of Charlemagne Grand campaign (WIP)
This script adds Viking invasions to the late game of AD 768 Age of Charlemagne Grand campaign mod.

Why should I try this mod ?
If you get bored with the late campaign, this mod is for you.
I found Viking faction in GC much too weak. They rarely attack British and French coasts, most of the time they get quickly overwhelmed by the neighboring faction. They’re probably too busy drinking mead and engaging in buggery with goats to care about raiding Europe. This mod fixes that.
I don’t recommend trying this mod if you’re looking for a short campaign (see turns count below)

How does it works?
I simply used the Hunnic spawn script, and switched it to Viking Faction.
Now the sea raiders will be a real pain in the a***, just like the hunnic hords in Attila.
– From 768 to 794 AD, sea raiders will not bother you.
– After 794 AD (turn 92) and the attack on Lindisfarne in Northumbria, small groups of sea raiders will start marauding along the British, French and Spanish coasts. They will be too weak to threaten your realm, but enough to raid an undefended city.
– After 834 AD (turn 264) and the attack on Dorestad harbor, the first large scale raid on the Carolingian empire, the maurauding armies will get tougher, and more numerous.
– In 885 AD (turn 388), the Great Heathen Army lands in England. Large viking armies will spawn in great numbers.
– Victory is achieved if you survive until 919 AD.
Bonus script : Avar raiders will roam the land until the end of the 8th century. For now they’re mostly useless and try to get back to their capital, but they’ll sometimes raid undefended cities if they feel warlike (credits to Animal Mother Jake Armitage and Anisvara for the base script).

You will have to start a new campaign.
