Thaku

This modification adds a new species to the Distant Worlds 2.

Description:

Thaku are descended from reptiles. They are a peaceful, but distrustful of other races. They prefer grasslands planets and democracy. Their technology focuses mainly on the development of defense technologies, including shields and missiles.

The race initially receives the following technologies:

  1. Early Beam Weapons
  2. Missile Weapons
  3. Ground Combat
  4. Early Energy Deflectors

They receive a bonus at the start in the following areas:

  1. ShieldRechargeRate (+15%)
  2. ResearchShields (+5%)
  3. HyperjumpSpeed (+15%)
  4. CounterEspionage (+10%)
  5. ColonyCorruptionReduction (+10%)
  6. Diplomacy (-5%)

This race uses the Humans ship set.

Installation:

  1. Steam: subscribe mod in steam workshop
  2. Launch Distant Worlds 2
  3. Within the game, In the Modifications menu, enable "Thaku Race" mod.
  4. Return to the main menu
  5. Exit the game and relaunch it now that you’ve configured your active mods
