A cruiser capible of equipping 44 small turrets/point defence turrets and 12 large caliper turrets. In addition it is equipped with 4 torpedo launchers and a decent sized hangar bay. Needless to say the Astrid is designed to be a flexible frontline combat vessel. It also boasts equally impressive shield and hull integrity with excelent armor plating. While on the smaller side of a cruiser class it is ensured that this dedicated combat vessel can go toe to toe with any other cruiser class warship. Its slim profile aids in its defence when fighting on the front lines. It also has its own fighter production facilities, making it able to hold itself in combat well.
