Description:

I recently thought about starting a little space-based RPG and for scenes where the players are arriving in a new solar system, it could be nice to have the entire system modeled as a visual representation. However, a perfectly round star
created by just pasting a star texture onto a spherical custom model would be boring and weird, since stars are made out of gas.
So I found a tutorial on how to make a more realistic star with unity particle effects, and here you have the result! There are good mods for planets already, so go and find one and use it to create beautiful solar systems.

Included are a red, yellow and blue star, with a roughly to scale representation of Pollux, Sirius A, Sol and Proxima Centauri as an example. The stars can be freely scaled to create whatever star you may need.

If you don’t like the corona effect, it can be turned off by switching states.
