Hi there,

if you are like me and think politics in Attila are a nice addition to the game if a bit dull, this mod’s for you. It adds and alters the following things:

-tenures for poltiical offices have been increased in length and also vary depending on position and culture

-negative loyalty effects have been increased. Do something that cheeses off your underlings and they won’t forgive or forget it that easily. Combined with the increased length of office tenures, you do now have to watch out who you put where, since removing people from office before their term is up will make them quite unhappy

-political action cost have been slightly decreased for the player, but majorly decreased for AI characters, which will motivate them to harass the player more often. Keep track of that unruly, backstabby lot or you’ll regret it

UPDATE 11/10/2015

-The personal loyalty of a character has now been restricted to start between 3-6. In vanilla loyalty has an average of about 7+ which makes it way too easy and forgiving to keep characters in line. I hope this chance will now allow for a more interesting game of politics

UPDATE 12/12/2015

Good news, the latest patch added a variable to the ministerial_positions table that makes it possible to make all office positions available from the start without the need have occupied a lower office first. I have disabled the cursus from all vanilla offices and now a character’s star rating is the sole hurdle for taking offices.
