Operation Spaltkeil
It is with great pleasure that I present to you my first workshop map "Operation Spaltkeil" (ger. Splitting Wedge). I created this map with the in-game map editor and largely tested it myself. Please give me feed back if there is something not working.
Located in the foggy Northern Sea, this island was once populated by fishermen and traders. When the great war between the military alliances broke out decades ago, the island was equipped with a defensive wall made of bunkers. After the island was extensively destroyed by warships, it lost its importance and its use as the last defensive outpost before the mainland. Decades passed and the military built new bunkers and an airfield where new fighter pilots were trained from then on.
Would they expect that a large-scale landing offensive with ground troops would ever take place on the island’s beach? We will see…
This is an island map where the EAGLE side tries to make its way across the beach to the RAVEN airfield. Meanwhile, the beach is under heavy machine gun fire. RAVENS have two attack-planes at the airport. Boats, a bomber and a transport helicopter are sent from the remote EAGLE island outpost to provide support. The main island has a wide bunker wall on the cliffs of the beach and an airfield behind it. There is a neutral AA post on the west flank. Between this and the airfield there is a small forest area and a road checkpoint. On the east side is a small dock and a radar station.
