Hong Kong Citybus and CLP Olympian in the world
In August 1992, Citybus loaned a three-axle Leyland Olympian with fleet number 331 to Transport for London for a subsidiary evaluation to test luxury, high passenger capacity, air-conditioning bus situation in London. The UK license plate was J248WWK. It was registered as FK5095 in Hong Kong on December 31 of the same year.
Between 2003 and 2006, a total of 79 Citybus and CLP Leyland Olympians and 1 Citybus Volvo Olympian were sold to the UK. As these buses have more seats than the two-axle double-decker buses in the UK, they frequently change hands between various bus companies operating school contract services.
