Better Caucasian Region Names
This mod changes the cultural names of a few cities, provinces and countries of the Caucasus (Colchis, Iberia, Albania) to endonyms or a name that imho looks better consequently this mod is just something for your eyes.
My original plan was to get rid of the Latin (exonym) names of the places and change them into latinized Greek (more prominent at that time) or endonyms where my priority would be like this: Endonym>Greek>Latin.
This is what this mod changes in particular:
– Iberia (originally Greek) is now Kartli
– Colchis is now Kolkhis
– Albania (also Greek) is now Aghvank (I know this actually Armenian but I think it fits better than the Greek name; there is no endonym that is known)
– the name of the king of Armenia is now ‘Yervand Yervanduni’ (Orontes is the Greek form)
– provinces and cities have been renamed
This should be Ironman-compatible.
This mod will probably not be updated. And I plan to make another mod that changes every (important) historical province/city/region (that we know of) to a endonym>greek>latin name. This will be a lot of work and i will wait until the game has been updated (no promise though).
