Admiral, Subject, and Royal Marriage Slots
Compatible with Patch 1.25 and 1.25.1.
This mod adds five new triggered modifiers that provide "free slots" specifically for Admirals, Subjects, and Royal Marriages. The modifiers are as follows:
1) Marriage Upkeep – Gives you one extra diplomatic relations slot if you have a Royal Marriage with another country that you are not allied with, subject to, or overlord of. Requires you to be either free or a tributary state, and have a government form that is able to make Royal Marriages.
2) Free Subject – Gives you one extra diplomatic relations slot if there exists at least one other country that is your subject, and is not a colony, tributary state, or daimyo.
3) Admiral Upkeep – Gives you one extra "leaders without upkeep" slot if you have at least one port and one admiral, and are not a primitive nation (aka: can build boats).
4) Naval Focus – Gives you one additional "leaders without upkeep" slot if you have at least one port and two admirals, and have completed either the Naval or Maritime idea groups.
5) Naval Specialization – Gives you one additional "leaders without upkeep" slot if you have at least one port and three admirals, and have completed both the Naval or Maritime idea groups.
Basically, this mod makes it so that you aren’t unfairly penalized if you just want to keep a country as a small vassal, or if you want to spread your dynasty to other countries and still want to have allies.
Furthermore, it makes it so that it is more worth it to have at least one admiral, as now you don’t have to choose between having one Admiral and having one less General. Finally, it gives a (slight) boost to Naval and Maritime ideas, both sorely underpowered idea groups.
The best part about this mod, is that it is 100% compatible with absolutely every other mod! This includes complete overhaul mods such as MEIOU and Taxes or Common Universalis. It is also compatible with Historical Balancer, however I wouldn’t recommend using both since both mods contain this mechanic.
