The Fallen Giant – After The Great War
As WW2 had ended in 1945, the soviets did a reverse blitzkrieg for the germans as they lost more land to the Russians so in the treaty of Metz, Russia would gain eastern Italy, Greece and Scandinavia. Russia would be a very strong and a fast growing nation faster than any other nation. Russia would be doing much better then in our timeline as they were in a golden age, winning the Korean and Vietnam wars, very stabilized, and a strong power on the world stage. Russia would be the stronger superpower than America until ww3 started, at first Russia would be winning by a lot, this would stay the same until the end of the war, so you see, the U.S had found a meteor that had a resource that was very useful to make new bombs that could wipe out Russia.
America had founded this in 1971 in Canada and had decided that this would be a secret until 1976, a year before the war, a secret meeting with the U.K and Canada talked about how Russia could be destroyed with this weapon instantly but they agreed that if it got fatal, this weapon would be used. The only bad thing for the soviets in this timeline is they did not have nukes or any info of nukes. This would be something very horrible as their fate was sealed after Russia discovered. After a year of war, and Russian landing on mainland America, it was called time for the liberation of Russia. Soon Russia would get a message on all devices from America which would say for the citizens to be ready for the end. This message would shock the Russians to their core and this sparks massive unrest in eastern Europe and Russia.
The nukes in Russia killed 150 Million people (3/4 of the population at the time) and caused the soviets to collapse and be a state ruled by foreigners or surviving tribes. Eastern Europe’s population had dropped from 289 million to 122 million in a few days. While deaths are the highest ever in Europe, the asian communist nations would have it much worse as china went from a population of 943 Million to 654 Million people making the total deaths from this attack being about 600 million people dead making the world economy begin to slow down rapidly and the eastern half of the world began to fall into chaos. America’s image would also be destroyed as the world seeing the warcrimes had agreed to embargo America meaning America could not trade anymore with anyone calling for a final dissolvent of the U.S. Now the world has become much different from what it once was, what will happen now?
