Ashland LMV Mk.2
The Ashland Mk.2 is built around an array of single hangars rather than a single subdivided one, allowing for more centralized crew areas and machinery and an overall more efficient design.
As a combat dropship, her main feature is her four mech HV bays. Each one has a dedicated cargo array for its pilot to keep their supply of ammo, fuel, and spare parts. They’re all numbered as well, so eyes on your own work. In addition, the Ashland’s two stacked rear hangars can carry several standard SVs and HVs.
The Ashland Mk.2’s main defenses are a tier two shield and twelve miniguns. Sentry guns also keep the doors clear when landed. Her hull is mostly simple steel, but her main machinery and drive thrusters are protected by sathium armor internally.
Crew accouterments are geared towards supporting ground operations. The Ashland Mk.2 sports a full sickbay, two advanced constructors, dedicated storage for small arms, body armor, and medicine, a repair station, and a large mess/briefing area. Seating in both hangars and near the boarding ramp can accommodate a strike team ready to either infiltrate or escape an angry POI.
Finally, the new Ashland’s hull contains void spaces between its pressure and outer hulls. Players wishing to push the Ashland into CPU tier four and add new fittings should find plenty of room in these areas to get started.
