Abyssal Fragment Tech
Allows you to play as an Abyssal Fragment (an underling of one of my characters).
Requires TerraLib or TerraLib Lite.
Entirely clientside, server doesn’t need this mod for it to work correctly.
To use, first:
– Be in singleplayer
– Turn on admin (run /admin)
– Run /maketechavailable af_abyssfragment
– Find or spawn (/spawnitem techconsole) a tech console
– Equip the tech (it’s a free leg tech)
Alternatively, if using OpenStarbound, you can equip it with a single command:
Once you’ve equipped the tech for the first time, it will give you 2 hoverbike controllers.
These are used to control the fragment’s abilities. Don’t lose them.
In case you do lose the items, you can make the tech spawn another set with this command (OpenStarbound):
(If not using OpenStarbound… well, you can always just make a second character, equip the tech again, and give the items to the first.)
This mod also has blank body and head techs.
To get them, just do the steps above but replace af_abyssfragment with af_nullhead or af_nullbody.
While it functions in vanilla, this mod functions better with OpenStarbound.
Controls:
Special1/Activate Head Tech (default F) – toggle Command Mode
Special2 (no default, I use G) –
Open spawn menu (click to select options, right click to cancel)
Special3 (no default, I use H) –
nothing outside Command Mode
oSB only controls:
Summon Analyzer (default ,) – spawns an Analyzer Minion, targets entity under crosshair if one is there
Command mode controls:
Single left click – deselect all/select one unit
Hold left click – select rectangle
Shift left click – same as before but keeps selections
Right click – order unit (if Shift not held, replaces existing orders)
Shift + Special 1 – pause mode (queued orders aren’t executed until you turn this off)
Special 2 – order selection
Special 3 – cancel all orders on selected
Shift + Special 3 – toggle player targets only
Commands: (oSB only)
/abysshelp – gives you these commands
/animatename – toggles animated name
/invisiblename – toggles your name being invisible (requires animated name)
/seat – toggles the ability for other players to sit on you
