Operation Black Bear
After successfully defeating USSR TG 151 (Operation Intercept), TF75.3 was directed to rejoin IKECSG and prepare for sustained combat operations against USSR forces outside of Vladivostok. However, there are two unlocated USSR Kilo SSKs assessed as transiting from the South China Sea into the Philippine Sea to interdict IKECSG. Also assessed as operating in the South China Sea is one unlocated Oscar I SSGN and one unlocated Kilo SSK. Therefore, TF75.3 has been repurposed and redirected to conduct an ASW search in vicinity of the Luzon Strait to stop all Soviet submarines in the OpArea.
