Generally should be more compatible with some mods.
There is an experimental skin color setting that gives you a less flat, better looking color you can enable it
in the bepinex settings, or using a mod such as https://steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=3379819704
- Better PCC coloring! sprites can be selectively colored instead of overlaying a color.
- Includes converted sprites for most base game assets.
- New PCC layer categories! (extrahead and makeup, examples in the assets files)
- Converting a sprite to be compatible is very easy to do!
You will have to re-color your character when installing this mod due to the shader working differently.
Some sprites aren’t perfect, slowly fixing them up. If you notice any issues, let me know, and/or fix them yourself in the meantime!

Does a mod not work properly with this? Ask me or the authour about making a patch! or even better, do it yourself after obtaining permission
– Alter the game’s default colors and change what colors are in the random color buttons. KINDA DONE
– Subsurface scattering for skin color.
– Add new customisation layers to the PCC. DONE
– Big hats
– Configurable aspects
– More?
Any sprite is compatible, the shader will check if a pixel is gray or not (RGB values are all equal) Any colored pixel will remain unchanged, if you would like to keep grays or whites on your sprite, simply add or remove 1 from one of the r g b channels of the color, it won’t be noticeable but the shader will now see it as a color.
To edit a sprite, i recommend just using a grayscale filter and playing with black and white levels while selectively excluding colors you want unchangeable from the sprite.
Here is a little rough guide to converting sprites.
Thanks to Kiyomi for helping with most of the sprite replacements included and to Tsuyao for help with debugging.
