Mig 23A-98
In the 90s there was a proposed end of life upgrade for the Mig-23 that would’ve brought the airframe to it’s absolute limit. From new avionics equipment based on or from the Mig 29 to being able to use most of the weapons fielded by Russia at the time; it would have been a capable adversary despite it’s age.
This mod replaces the AA-7 /AA-8 series with the AA-12 (R77) AA-11(R73) and adds an anti-ship component with the AS-17 (KH-31AP).
