My personal rebalance of Instant Travel Engage[www.nexusmods.com] by t63gm74a which also incorporates some of the changes of Boost Removal for L and XL engines[www.nexusmods.com] by Spacecop42

My philosophy is that travel charge time should be 1 sec too long from what would be ideal to maintain tension. And that each size tier charge time should be almost twice the time of the previous tier.

Xenon charge times:

m:

3 sec,

l:

4 sec,

xl:

5 sec;

No boost for large engines.

Notes: Xenons have better engines than the average race, but they fall short from races dedicated to their destruction like the Terrans or the race who are way more aggressive like the Split.

Boron charge times:

s:

2 sec for MK1; 1 sec for MK2; 0 sec for MK3;

m:

3 sec for MK1; 2 sec for MK2; 1 sec for MK3;

l:

4 sec (minus 1 for Travel Engines);

Terran charge times:
s :

2 sec for MK1, 1 sec for MK2, 0 sec for MK3;

m:

2 sec for MK1, 1 sec for MK2, 0 sec for MK3;

l and xl:

3 sec.

Boost is enabled across all engines.

Note: Terrans have superior technology but their normal speed suck, so I balance that by letting them have boost (their shields can take it)
and faster travel engine charge time.

Split charge times:
s:

2 for MK1, MK2 1 for MK3, combat MK1and combat MK2 0 for combat MK3 and MK4;

m:

3 sec for MK1, 2 sec for MK2, combat MK1, travel MK3, 1 sec for MK3, combat MK2; 0 sec for combat MK3 and MK4

l:

3 sec;

xl:

4 sec;

No boost for large engines.
Note:
Split are paper tigers who value mobility for survival, that’s why they’re almost on par with the Terrans for travel charge time.
But they don’t have boost since their shields are bad.

Erkling charge time:
xl:

4 sec;

Boost Enabled.

Note: Experimental Ducktaped ship, in other words true engineering. So on par with the Split and Xenons, but can boost, and is not as sophisticated as the Terrans.

Astrid charge time:
m:

1 sec;

Boost Enabled.

Note: Increased the charge time because that thing was already OP, and you can still boost.

Commonwealth charge times:
s:

2 sec;

m:

4 sec;

l:

6 sec (minus 1 for paranids);

xl:

6 sec (minus 1 for paranids).

No boost for large engines.

time should be almost twice the time of the previous tier. The Paranids tend to have better tech than the other vanilla races due to contact with the split and also triangles I guess.

Talu shaya engine:
m:

1 sec for combat variant. 2 sec for the all-round variant. 3 sec for the travel variant.

Boost is enabled.
