Pacific Meltdown – The Empire Strikes Back (Mission 10)
January 5, 1987: Yesterday’s attack was the worst loss the US Navy had suffered since the disastrous Attu Island campaign. The loss of USS Wainwright and USS Meyerkord, as well as the many merchant vessels sunk, has greatly loosened our control over vital shipping lanes near northern Japan. Other sectors are holding out for now, but things aren’t looking too great. The good news is that we’ve managed to track down the Soviet SAG that caused all that mayhem yersterday. Take to the skies, sink the enemy ships, and show the world that we’re still in the fight.
