Disable Unstable Debug Text
This mod disables the hard-coded debug UI elements in the B42 unstable build of Project Zomboid.
– This is a Java mod. You have to follow the installation instructions below.
– Debug information is crucial for submitting bug reports.
– Adding -debug to the games launch options (in Steam) will enable the debug text again.
If you also want to disable the version watermark in the bottom right corner, activate the mod in-game.
This mod can be installed into existing saves. Follow these steps:
- Close Project Zomboid
– Make sure the game is not running. - Subscribe to the Mod
– Click the Subscribe button on this page. - Wait for the Download
– Allow Steam to complete the download of the mod files. - Locate the Mod Files
– Go to:Steamsteamappsworkshopcontent1086003386442926modsDisableUnstableDebugText42 - Copy the Zombie Folder
– Find the zombie folder inside the mod directory and copy it. - Paste the Folder into the Game Directory
– Navigate to:SteamsteamappscommonProjectZomboid– Paste the zombie folder here.
- Overwrite Files
– When prompted, choose to overwrite the existing files (there should only be one).
For Linux users:
A backup of the original SandboxOptions.class is included in the mod folder. Follow these steps to uninstall:
- Delete the modified SandboxOptions.class.
- Rename SandboxOptions.class.BACKUP to SandboxOptions.class in:
SteamsteamappscommonProjectZomboidzombie
Alternatively, you can verify the integrity of game files in Steam:
- Right-click on the game in your Steam library.
- Go to Properties > Installed Files > Verify integrity of game files.
