The Mola provides you versatility, capability and good ergonomics in the mid range. It is no battleship, but can deliver quite a punch when upgraded. The Mola comes with a fully equipped med arrangement and over a million kL cargo room, distributed on three cargo container, one harvest container and several cargo boxes. It’s 320 kL ammo container allows you to bring enough supplies to your battles.
At it’s stock Core 5 configuration, no special parts needed. Upgrade the Mola as you go.
Within Core 9, the Mola is ready for every adventure out there – mining, drone shredding or exploring space with it’s long range jump capability. The possibility of housing up to 25 hydroponic units will keep you fed and alive, and the garage can carry a compact battle tank and some smaller HV’s. The large landing pad should serve all your needs for bringing your precious SV’s with you.
Large devices are located in seperate compartments, protected against chain explosions by various wall strength, depending of their blast intensity. This is based on extended testing.
For weight reasons, many of the more decorative blocks are plastic.
The CPU extenders are a bit spread within the interiour, and the ship will survive a couple of exploding weaponry and other devices. The outer hull around the CPU extenders is reinforced with hardened steel to provide some protection against lucky shots. It won’t hurt to upgrade some walls as you see fit, though.
Upgrade
There are many spots for additional weapons and devices. However, installing every item there is a space for will surpass the Core 9 limit, so you may combine them according to your preferences and/or install auxiliary cores. As an example, a typical layout within Core 9 could be, in addition or upgraded from stock:
