MAY 11th, 1989 – A sudden call interrupts what would otherwise be an average evening at a meeting. Donning his mask, Jones shreds through a transportation operation in the sewers
JONES: The war was supposed to already be over, but tensions in the US were only rising. Jones, being a veteran, had trouble coming to terms with that. He tried to convince himself that everything was fine, despite what he saw. If violence was erupting in the streets, then it made what he did in the war meaningless. He distanced himself from all of the violence, but it surrounded him. He became detached from reality, searching for answers to questions he didn’t want answered. Blood, gore, and death became meaningless to him, and that’s where his hands were eventually steered.
This level is part of a series I’m calling ONESHOTS, where I make levels and stories for the operatives we never really get to see. Jones is a detached veteran wearing an alligator mask. – There are no "Floor Cleared" notifications for the level, but the "GO" arrows are still visible. You can use those to determine whether you’ve cleared a floor!
– Heads up, the intro has a bit more dialogue than other levels!
