[WOTC] Soldier Development
This mod adds a way to develop soldiers’ stats by executing certain actions during combat or by performing well on the battlefield. It also disables the Covert Actions stat boosts because I dislike their randomness and their OPness (you can enable them in the config file).
As of this version, it is possible to increase the following stats: Aim, Hacking, Mobility, Will and Combat Intelligence. It is also possible to gain extra XCOM Ability Points by getting an "Excellent" or a "Flawless" rating on a mission.
Aim Stat

Hacking Stat

Mobility Stat
Refer to the mobility stat discussion for all the details.
Will Stat
- Increase the soldiers’ will stat by getting an "Excellent" or a "Flawless" rating on a mission
- By default, getting an "Excellent" or a "Flawless" mission rating grants respectively +1/+2 will
- Injured soldiers will not gain a will boost
- By default, the maximum value for the will stat is 100
- The stat boost values and the maximum value are configurable through the config file. It is also possible to disable this feature for each mission rating independently
Combat Intelligence
- Increase the soldiers’ combat intelligence by getting an "Excellent" or a "Flawless" rating on a mission
- By default, getting an "Excellent" or a "Flawless" mission rating grants respectively a 10%/20% chance to increase CI
- This feature is mutually exclusive with the Ability Points reward
- The chance to increase CI is configurable through the config file. It is also possible to disable this feature for each mission rating independently
Ability Points
- Gain XCOM ability points by getting an "Excellent" or a "Flawless" rating on a mission
- By default, getting an "Excellent" or a "Flawless" mission rating grants respectively a 90%/80% chance to gain AP
- By default, "Excellent" missions grant +2 AP and "Flawless" missions grant +5 AP
- Having the Resistance Order "Trial by Fire" active will double the amount of AP rewarded
- This feature is mutually exclusive with the Combat Intelligence increase
- The chance to gain AP and the AP reward values are configurable through the config file. It is also possible to disable this feature for each mission rating independently
The configuration file should be in the following location:
High Priority
- Add ways to increase Psi Power
Low Priority
- Add ways to increase Health
- Add ways to increase Dodge
- Overwatch and Killzone aren’t supported for the aim boost
This mod should be compatible with almost everything and you should be able to add/remove it mid campaign without any problem.
No class override.
