Talon Transformer Jet
A quick, maneuverable jet with full VTOL capabilities, which transforms to a mech mode for landing.
Q – toggle hover/ flight mode
Z – toggle idle thrust
Space – thrust
To take off, first switch to hover mode. Then, activate idle thrust. This makes hover control much more forgiving. Using space will get you off the ground.
Once you have gained a bit of height, the jet will automatically raise its legs and shift to hover mode. You can fly in this mode much like a helicopter, with WS for Pitch, and AD for roll. I’d recommend being gentle on the controls, and using mostly light thrust input and roll to maneuver.
When you’re ready to fly a bit faster, hit Q to shift to jet mode. This flies like a standard airplane. Idle thrust is enough to fly, but holding space will give you full thrust.
To land, shift back to hover with Q, and try to decelerate and slowly descend. It’s very possible to land this thing gently, but it takes practice. Cut idle thrust with Z once you’re about to touch down.
