Survival Mode
Survival Mode – a concept we’ve all familiarized ourselves with. Hunger, thirst, basic needs, and a way to solve those problems. This mod simultaneously creates and solves that problem. As you destroy, steal, and drive, you’ll notice that the game will get increasingly needy and ignoring it will likely result in your death. Fret not, for the solution is simple.
It’s the future! Everything is delivered by drone now, whether that’s hot dogs, black market energy drinks, porta-potties, or a bomb. Set a delivery location, consume to your heart’s content, and keep yourself from keeling over thanks to capitalism.
Money makes the world go round, and in the world of Teardown, no currency is more valuable than T-Bucks. You can earn T-Bucks by completing missions or re-collecting valuables you’ve already stolen. When completing missions, your payout is determined by the number of objectives you complete, how much time is left (if applicable), and "discretion" measured by the number of voxels destroyed, among other things.
This mod has an expansive settings menu that lets you tweak the rate of need drain, disable "story progression", change keybinds, and disable dying from needs if that’s not your thing.
This mod may have conflicts with other mods that:
- Tamper with shapes or bodies on a global level without checking for tags
- Use a "survivalmode" registry key
- Modify level valuables before init()
