Description:

The USCSS Prometheus is a heavy exploration vessel and mobile command ship, capable of sustaining the needs of a moderately sized crew for long voyages.

I tried to make the interior layout a little more interesting then the obligatory hallway going down the center of the ship with symmetrical rooms, however you will get lost a few times starting out. It’s more of a role playing ship. There are a few empty rooms I didn’t get around to decorating.

The first things I would upgrade once extra cores are available are the ion drives in the thruster pods, and the minigun turrets.

Features include:
-5 fixed mining drills
-12 hard points for various combinations of ice and rich ore drills (6 on top towards the middle, and 6 on bottom near bridge)
-SV hanger accessible from the top with capacity for 4 small to medium-ish sized SVs
-HV hanger accessible from the belly with capacity for 4 small to medium-ish sized HVs. Block in center of hanger is designed to be replaced with repair bay.
-(2) 320k ammo controllers
-(8) 640k storage bays (with plenty of room in between the hull and interior for more storage/components)
-Full production bay with 4 small, 2 advanced, 1 universal, and 1 deconstructor
-Scanning station in the long range communications room
-Ship upgrade station in the conference room
-Weapon upgrade station in the armory
-Hydroponics room with 36 grow plot spaces (set up for hydroponics bays)
-Over 60k shields and a steel hull with composite interior compartments. Fuel, reactor, and CPU encased with xenocombat steel (depending on how I wanted to paint the blocks)
-"Sleep" mode that keeps the ship on without consuming fuel.
-Multiple control points, including a M.O.T.H.E.R. room inspired from the first ALIENS movie
-4 fully furnished crew cabins with personal lockers
