If the Central Powers won WW1
What I think Europe would look like if the Central Powers won World War I.
The map includes:
– The breakup of Russia, Great Britain and Italy.
– The fictional Spanish Civil War.
– Free Finland, Baltics, Iceland and African Colonies.
After the defeat of the Entente, the Central Powers established a monarchy in France. They also forced the French to deconolise North Africa. The Central Powers tried the same thing in Spain, which resulted in a Civil War. The Russian Revolution would keep going on, but without Ukraine, Transcaucasia or White Ruthenia getting involved. They were liberated from Russian rule, and they are now their own free states. Finland fought for it’s independence, forming a triumphant victory in the end, even taking Petrograd from the Russians. The rest of Scandinavia was mostly untouched, except for Denmark: Germany conquered some of it and made it their vassal, along with the Netherlands. England and Italy was also pushed in civil war, with both realms getting broken apart into smaller areas. Meanwhile in the South-East, the Ottomans were able to capture some Greek isles, even making Crimea and Transcaucasia their vassals. The real winner of all of this is Switzerland, staying the same throughout the war, sleeping as if nothing’s happening.
PS.: I used the default ‘Europe – 1914’ map as the base for this. Have fun playing with this!
