Compatibilty Notes

For use with BANDITS by Slayer
B42/B41
As Bandits for B42 is still being developed by Slayer, compatibility issues may arise following updates to the main mod.
B41 Bandits is stable and complete so this should not be the case for this version.
Please report any issues in comments!

This mod is not designed to change any features of Day One or Week One but should still affect the spawning of bandits using the normal wave system while these mods are enabled.

Credits

Full credit to Slayer for his amazing creation, BANDITS! All functions of this mod are derived from the butchery of his code.

Instructions

All options are accessed from Sandbox menu.
To access them you’ll need to start a new game, use Debug mode, or an appropriate mod
Main options for the mod are found on the Bandits Extra Options sandbox page. From here you can disable or enable individual features entirely.
Options are also added to each Wave screen for individual customisation.

Allow "Raider" AI

Raider AI is used to generate highly threatening attacks against the player; bandits with this AI setting always know the player’s location. Disabling it will instead set hostile bandits to the "Wanderer" AI type, which will only attack if it detects the player. This will affect all waves set to "Raider" or "Random" AI type. Raider behaviours may still be seen under some circumstances where the player is detected by enemies or otherwise provokes conflict.

Friendly NPCs may not automatically join

By default all friendly NPCs join the player automatically. This setting adds a random check, based on their chance to be friendly/hostile, whether they will join you when spawning in. You can still recruit them via the context menu.

World age for wave progression

By default wave progression resets when you create a new character in the same world; this ties progression to world age instead; it will be uniform for all characters.

Random bandit group size

Choose a minimum and maximum size for each bandit wave; resulting spawns will be generated using these. This invalidates the existing "Group Size" setting.

Random bandit health

Choose a minimum and maximum health for each bandit wave.

Random bandit ammo

Choose a minimum ammo count for each bandit wave. If they have appropriate firearms, mag count will be randomly generated between their listed amount and the minimum. Affects both primary and secondary weapons.

Random bandit loot

A multiplier that affects the chance for bandits to carry additional loot items. One value affecting all waves.

Maximum defenders

Choose the maximum number of bandits that may spawn to occupy a building. One value affecting all clans, independent of wave settings.

Allow car roadblocks

Prevent bandits from spawning roadblocks with vehicles.

Allow sandbag roadblocks

Sandbag roadblocks are a new option which can replace or complement the existing vehicle roadblocks.

Vehicle sound effects on bandit spawning

Large groups of bandits spawn with car or helicopter sound effects by default, which some players may prefer to disable.
