Deutsches Weltreich 1993
Inspired by WTF CD -[Foxy]-‘s Youtube series "Deutsches Weltreich". Borders are as lore accurate as I can make. There are added cities, including the lore-esstential city of Lysenkograd. There are 2 main factions, the Central Powers and the International. Also 1 minor faction, the Stockholm Pact (and everyone else/the nonaligned movement). Check out the 1941 version too!
The world set in 1993 of an alternative history if the Central Powers had won World War 1 / First Weltkreig. The war was more grueling and devastating, however significant German victories on the Eastern Front and communist rebels in the Entente Powers gave the Central Powers the upper hand. The British never intercepts the Zimmermann Telegram, leading to Mexico and Japan to join the war as German allies. The Entente crumbles as US support is prevented from reaching Europe.
In the aftermath of the war ending in 1919, Germany built influence and dominance all across the globe as the world entered a Cold War between the Imperial Bloc, mostly monarchical and capitalist nations, and the Soviet Bloc, communist nations. The world saw the outbreak of the Austrian Civil War in 1933, the Second American Civil War in 1935, the Great Eastern War in 1938, and the ongoing Decolonization Wave.
With every continent in a cold war, most countires join or forced into alliances, either the Central Powers or the International. Some countries are nonaligned, neutral, have their own special interests, or playing both sides. Interestingly enough, every South American country joined sides by the time the First Cold War heats up. Tensions between the Imperial Bloc and the Soviet Bloc reach an all time high as the Second Weltkreig dawns upon them.
Canonically, the war lasts for nearly 6 years from June of 1993 to May of 1999 after the surrender of the American Union State. Mainland Germany surrenders in January of 1998, but remnants of the Weltreich in Oceania survive into the new millennia.
