[WOTC] Incendiary Grenade Damage Fix
Fixes damage back to original level for Incendiary Grenades from 2 to 4 (both have 20% chance of +1 damage) this change happened with WOTC.
All in-game prompts still state this grenade has the highest base damage of all standard grenades (however it’s actually weaker than a Frag grenade! which has 3 damage with 20% chance of +1 damage), so this value has been fixed in this mod back to correct values.
No other grenade damage has changed (in WOTC) and the Incendiary Bomb still has the highest unchanged Damage, if this was nerfed too then I can understand that fire in general could have been nerfed, but it hasn’t. Fire is also now a weaker damage type as Chrysalids and other melee units can attack whilst on fire (barring the Lost).
Currently if you compare the first tier of grenades it has the lowest damage of all grenades! Looking at the other damage grenades you also have weaker shedding (acid is best) or a weaker radius (gas is best), so before this mod the Incendiary Grenade is a weaker version of them all.
Tier 2 is normal you either get the flash/smoke/cover destruction from the normal grenades and then either good range (gas), good shred (acid) this one is the good damage (fire) clearly tier 1 should have remained, if they wanted a nerf they should have decreased damage by 1, by 2 (currently) it’s now the weakest grenade which makes no sense, it can only be a mistake.
Barring a typo, I presume this grenade is used by the Purifier hence the damage reduction. So try not to get grenade’d by them as it will burn a tad more…
To remove, delete your User XCOM2 (XComGameData_WeaponData) config file and unsubscribe to refresh your game.
