Trade & Balance Mod enhances the economic and trade mechanics of Victoria 3 for a more strategic, realistic and immersive gameplay experience. With refined trade routes, rebalanced goods prioritisation, new production methods, and quality-of-life improvements, this mod offers a fresh approach to managing your economy.
Trade Changes:
- Decreased Trade Route growth per level from (25% → 10%)
- Increased trade route size (100 → 500)
- Reduced trade amount per level of most items
- Reduced Trade Center employment by 50%
Economy Changes:
- Goods are prioritized for local use first, then exported to trade partners with a trade agreement, and finally other trade routes
- Increased chances of companies upgrading their buildings
- Added new hardwood Production Method: Focused Hardwood (45 hardwood output per level)
- Slightly increased peasant needs
- Reduced government dividend losses
- Added wage, trade, market, and shortage tweaks
Miscellaneous Changes:
- Renamed "Sell Orders" and "Buy Orders" to "Supply" and "Demand"
- Halved duration of state integration
- Slightly reduced clipper and Man o’ War output
- Renamed "Man-o-War" to "Ship of the Line"
- Renamed "Artillery" to "Cannons"
- Reduced truce length to 2 years
- Added cannons as input for warships; increased warship price slightly
- Fleets must now return to 95% strength after being defeated (fixes fleets re-joining wars too quickly after being decimated in battle – 70% in vanilla)
- Slightly reduced convoy usage for some smaller goods
- Increased severity of price increases due to shortages
- Improved Command Economy slightly (increased government dividends efficiency to reduce excessive losses)
Compatibility:
- Compatible with Victoria 3 v1.8.6
- Multiplayer compatible
- Recently changed the structure so that it should be more compatible with mods that aren’t total overhauls.
To ensure updates are correctly applied, you may need to unsubscribe and then resubscribe when an update is released. This is an ongoing issue with Steam Workshop and there is nothing I can do to resolve this.
