Yak-38 Forger
I present to you a Medusa in the form of a Yak-38. Yes, this is more of a joke than a serious project, but nevertheless, I put effort into it and created it with love.
Historical Background:
The Yakovlev Yak-38 (Russian: Яковлев Як-38; NATO reporting name: "Forger") was Soviet Naval Aviation’s only operational VTOL strike fighter aircraft in addition to being its first operational carrier-based fixed-wing aircraft. It was developed specifically for, and served almost exclusively on, the Kiev-class aircraft carriers. Was developed in 1970-s.
This was an extremely accident-prone aircraft, which is why it was eventually discontinued (although its flight performance also left much to be desired) in 1991.
