Description:

"A species comprised of living synthetic rubber. No one is sure how they came to be, but there are plenty of theories, such as mad scientists turning humans into Balloonoids. Balloonoids themselves are incapable of speech, only able to squeak and squirk."

I was disappointed to learn that Starbound does not have any balloon blocks or furniture like a certain OTHER game…
So I made my own, along with a custom species, and other inflatable, balloon-related items!

"Is it compatible with Frackin’ Universe?"

If you care about race traits, and BYOS compatibility, then you will need to subscribe to "Frackin Patch: Balloonoids".

Otherwise, it’s fine from what I’ve played.

Info:

This mod adds the following:

One new playable species with a unique ship, pet, and respawn animation.

Balloon Crafting Kit. It can be purchased at the Infinity Express. It allows you to craft most of the items in this mod.

New materials: Balloon Blocks, and Balloon Platforms!

Tiered Balloonoid armor, and eight sets of Balloonoid-friendly clothing.

A new balloon furniture set, consisting of over 30 items.

A couple new tenants, including a merchant who can sell blueprints to powerful wands.

Six new non-elemental wands: The Rod of Rubber, the Staff of Squeaks, the Cane of Creaks, and their upgrades!

One new throwable, the Balloonoid UFO Capsule.

The Balloonoid UFO. Functions exactly like the Mini UFO, except it’s not mini at all!(Be warned, this is a fragile, and temporary vehicle…)

Alien Gumball, a rare food item that Balloonoid Merchants will occasionally sell. Puts a bounce to your step!

Five new codex entries that give more detailed info on the Balloonoid species.

Adds Balloonoid micro-dungeons/structures to rainbow wood, and tar biomes. They also spawn rarely on ocean planets.

TO MODDERS AND ARTISTS:

Anyone reading this, has my permission to make add-on content of this mod, such as outfits or compatibility mods.
You may also use the Balloonoid species in your own artistic works as well.

BUT THERE ARE A FEW CONDITIONS:

Please, give credit to this page.

Keep it friendly to the Balloonoid’s lore.

That is all.
