Description:

Welcome to the warring states of Kenshi!

This mod includes 7 new major factions and 3 minor ones to join each with their own enemies and quests. The factions are divided into 3 different zones, The Hook, The Great Desert and The Outlands.

The Great Desert:
In the desert you will find the Inaba Clan based in stoat, a clan who have learned the art of taming Skimmers and are proficient with polearms.
The Nagata Clan based in Sho-Battai, a clan who pride themselves on being the defence against cannibals and are proficient with blunt weapons.
The Sanda Clan based in Bark, a secretive clan of ninjas skilled but lightly armoured.

The Hook:
In The Hook you will find the Merin Clan based in Drifter’s last, a clan of misfit ronin and the unwanted lead by Lady Merin.
The Shima Clan based in Clownsteady, a clan of armoured swordsmen lead by Lord Shima.
And lastly there is the Shiro Clan based in Catun, a clan specialised in Naginatas and quality weapons.

The Outlands:
The sole Samurai clan in the outlands are the Tsugi, with bow and blade they aim to tame the outlands.

Included in this mod are 7 new starts with 19 squad members, one start for each new clan but choosing one of these starts will lock you out of speaking to the nobles and doing the quests in the zone you start in.

Introducing campaigns:

This mod aims to add at least 7 unique campaigns/questlines for each of the new major factions the current campaigns in the mod are the Sanda, the Inaba and the Nagata campaigns completing the Great Desert Zone of the mod.

Update 07/12/21:

– The Shima and Merin campaigns have been completed

– Added siege markers to towns, might not be compatible with architecture mods.

– Spot is smaller and no longer the avatar of death, he’ll still kick your ass just not as badly

– Maybe fixed an issue where factions attacked slaves of enemy factions, I haven’t been able to replicate it so fingers crossed.

– Halved army spawn rates

– Reduced size of Sanda clan armies to a bit more than half so they don’t dominate the other factions in the field

Next update will focus on updating the architecture of the main cities, adding minor settlements and ruins and the Tsugi campaign. I’ll eventually get to the Shiro clan but I have more fun killing them off.

Spoilers for hidden campaign quests guide:
Sanda: At any point during the campaign before Bark is attacked you can go to the old village between bark and heft you will find an npc who will give you the option of betraying the Sanda clan

Nagata: Once you have joined the Nagata clan you will eventually be sent to fight cannibals, if you go to the bastion you will find an npc who will give you the option of betraying the Nagata clan

Inaba: After you have defeated the Sand ninja oni for the Inaba clan you can return to the cactus den to speak and the leader who will give you the option of betraying the Inaba clan

Merin: If Yama is still alive after you join the Merin clan and you defeat the old Merin lord the Yama clan will join the Merin clan.
