Minsk, Belarus
Hello again, comrades! It’s been a while since I posted a map for the game due to working a lot of extra hours, but finally I was able to finish this one, the beautiful capital of Belarus, Minsk. Located almost in the center of the country, Minsk is a vibrant city with a rich history and beautiful soviet and modern architecture. It also has a lot of tractor and auto factories, noisy power plants and State farms in the outskirts. Due to political and cultural reasons, Minsk and the rest of Belarus still has strong ties with their Soviet past, and is one of the few places where monuments, iconography and institutions of the USSR are still very visible.
As always, the map aims to recreate as exactly as possible the terrain, main avenues and some monuments of the city and was created using Soviet maps from mid 70s, Open Street Map information and lots of hours of research.
