This mod changes standard AI "Patrol" mode. Instead of moving right and left, actors in this mode will go and search for enemy units.

No other aspects of AI had been changed, only "Patrol" mode.

This mod doesn’t work as it is — some extractions and replacements are required, but they are very simple.

But! Before doing anything of this make a copy of ‘Base.rte’ folder (it’s inside main game’s folder), just in case.

To bring this new AI to life:

1) go to game’s main folder;
2) go to ‘AI_Patrol_Mode.rte’;
3) go to ‘Data’ folder;
4) go to ‘New Patrol Mode’ folder;
5) copy ‘Base.rte’ folder that lies inside;
6) paste it in the main game’s folder, replacing everything;
7) launch the game and have fun!

If you want to bring back old AI:

1) go to game’s main folder;
2) go to ‘AI_Patrol_Mode.rte’;
3) go to ‘Data’ folder;
4) go to ‘Standard’ folder;
5) copy ‘Base.rte’ folder that lies inside;
6) paste it in the main game’s folder, replacing everything;
7) have fun!

Warning! Factions with custom AI (like UniTech) can be broken by this mod.
