Bots Avoid Mounted Machine Gun’s Line of Fire
Yeah, the title rolls of the tongue, doesn’t it?
Sometimes the survivor bots seem to really like the taste of 50 caliber bullets and are very eager to stand in front of the mounted machine gun you’re using.
This VScript attempts to make them move out of your way whenever you’re using one.
NOTE:
- Bots will take at most 1-2 seconds to start moving out of your way.
- This hasn’t been tested with more than 1 human player using a mounted machine gun and will most likely not work properly in that scenario. (Though you don’t normally see 2 mounted machine guns close to each other I think)
- This is VERY janky and might not work as intended.
Yeah, I know you can just use the "Go" command to make the bots go to wherever you point with Left 4 Bots 2, this is just an attempt at an automated solution
This is the first and probably the last time I’ll ever make a VScript related to bots, it’s simply something beyond my understanding.
If you’re a VScript-head and you would like to improve upon my code and release an improved version, you are very welcome to do so.
This will only work in singleplayer or a locally hosted server.
I fully support & encourage edits of my mods.
