Imperatus – Corps Concepts 0.5

Adds flexibility to military formations to Imperatus, the modular and highly compatible framework for more epic, immersive games. Recon and ranged units are significantly weaker on their own in pitched combat, but much stronger in support roles, and in the case of recon units better suited to running around deep in the wilderness due to heal-after-move.

Changes
  • Unit/Building max HP increased 150% (250)
  • Combat damage increased +50%
  • Recon units reduced in combat strength but get heal after move, +100% flanking, +50% support
  • Ranged units reduced in combat strength but get +100% support, +50% flanking
  • Integration with formation changes in ARS – Improved Movement v2.2
  • Future work: Additional changes to combat to make positioning of encampments and forts more meaningful

    If ARS – Improved Movement v2.2 is installed then recon units and light cavalry units are split off to a new formation class, and land ranged units are limited to a base range of one. Combined arms will now be crucial to success.
