Description:

Poor Garrus has been waiting nearly a fortnight on getting a proper weapon. So to cheer him up a bit, its the turn of the sniper class to get a "Mass Effect" weapon. This is the Mass Effect 3 Collectors Edition N7 Valiant sniper rifle. The Valiant is an upgraded version of the already highly potent "Indra" sniper rifle, manufactured under licence by the Systems Alliance.

The N7 Valiant;

The Valiant is a sniper rifle tested by Alliance soldiers during a series of harsh survival exercises on the planet Kruljaven. This streamlined weapon employs a sophisticated fire-control system that improves accuracy by stabilizing the barrel during targeting. Although this comes at the cost of reduced capacity and rate of fire, most soldiers find the increase in precision and quick reloading time a worthy tradeoff.

Well it took a while but I finally managed a sniper rifle. Early sniper attempts resulted in bugs such as the gun getting pulled apart when shooting, Xcom units pointing at the sky and firing, flat out refusal to fire, and the usual "why aint it working?" scenarios. I had another rifle almost ready to go a few days ago and had to completely scrap it due to clipping issues once I actually got it in combat. Having an optic shoved half up your snipers nose when shooting just isnt a good visual effect.

But here we have a lovely N7 Valiant. A nice clean model and simple to fix up for Xcom. It need the "usual" stock chop because BioWare seem to think stocks belong in armpits, rather than braced. So a quick chop of that, and then I added the mag stock to replace due to its shorter length and similar appearance in style. I did have to "open up" the trigger area a bit as it was a really small gap and Xcom fingers just didnt fit. So I removed a few triangles and just adjusted the existing trigger guard to compensate.

*NOTE*
Attachements DO NOT appear on the weapon or the Tactical UI Icon; This is NOT a bug, its a design decision to keep the weapon and Icon from looking "fugly as hell" with attachments added. This is purely cosmetic, stats and tooltips will update when attachments are added.
