Description:

This mod changes the unit upkeep so that it’s less viable to just doomstack and therefore keep manual combat small until mid-lategame while still being able to afford units at the beginning of the game.

Tier 1: Gold/Mana = 08->30
Tier 2: Gold/Mana = 12->36
Tier 3: Gold/Mana = 20->42
Tier 4: Gold/Mana = 30->115 + Imperium = 3->3
Tier 5: Gold/Mana = 60->230 + Imperium = 7->7

The reason why I didn’t just double or triple the value of everything is because then you would be able to just stack Tier 1 units and enchant them a lot in the midgame. I wanted to keep higher-tier units viable.

But Tier 4/5 units have a proportional cost increase so that it stays in line with vanilla balance.

Also, AI probably doesn’t care about Imperium costs at all, so I kept that the same so that the player isn’t discouraged from building Tier 4/5 units any more than they already are.

It’s a band-aid fix to a much bigger problem and there are many ways to still cheat the system so use the mod however you want.
