Description:

A mod made to showcase the proposed changes to Spain’s mineral resources found in this forum post:
https://forum.paradoxplaza.com/forum/threads/spains-mineral-resources.1598083/

The goal of this mod is to change the distribution of mineral resources in Spain to one that’s more representative of reality. For example, Valencia doesn’t have coal anymore.

I’ve kept the same total amount of resources as in Vanilla to avoid affecting game balance. I’ve also added banana plantations to the Canary Islands, and an ‘Ebro River’ trait to Catalonia and Aragon.

The resource distribution present in this mod is as follows:

    -Galicia:

    • Iron: 10

    -Asturias:

    • Iron: 20
    • Coal: 65

    -Navarra:

    • Iron: 60
    • Coal: 7
    • Oil: 10 (Undiscovered)

    -Castile:

    • Iron: 27
    • Coal:36

    -Aragon:

    • Iron: 16
    • Coal: 16

    -Catalonia:

    • Coal: 20
    • Lead: 6

    -Valencia:

    • Iron: 20
    • Lead: 30

    -Baleares:

    • None

    -Eastern Andalusia:

    • Iron: 20
    • Lead: 30
    • Sulfur: 10
    • Gold: 4 (Undiscovered)

    -Western Andalusia:

    • Iron: 20
    • Coal: 50
    • Sulfur:50

    -Badajoz:

    • Lead: 10

    -Toledo:

    • Coal: 20
    • Lead: 14

This mod will be compatible with any mod that doesn’t change the Spanish states or their buildings.

Known Issues: Since Gibraltar is part of Eastern Andalusia it gets a few of the resources allocated to the state. This doesn’t make any sense, but I don’t currently know of any way to fix it.
