Dimencia’s Training Backpacks
The main purpose of these are to either give yourself -stats without -speed, so you can level up faster, or give your prisoners +stats and -speed, so you can level up faster when you fight them.
Combat stats level up based on the difference between your skill and your opponent’s, so you want to give yourself negative stats and give your prisoner positive stats – but you also usually want to weigh down the prisoner so they can’t run.
With vanilla backpacks, weighing down the prisoner means making them a worse training dummy with negative stats, and wearing a backpack for your own negative stats makes your combat slower, which means you attack less. These backpacks are intended to mix and match +/- stats with +/- speed to give you more options
A heavy set of training weights you can strap to your back to hinder yourself in combat, if you’re that much of a badass
- -10 Attack/Defense
- No storage
- Weighs a lot
- Goes in the backpack slot
- Sold at advanced backpack shops (similar rarity to Thieves’ Backpacks)
- Wear when training if you don’t need storage
A balanced set of weights that hang down to the waist, granting additional stability in combat
- +5 Attack/Defense
- No storage
- Weighs a lot
- Goes in the backpack slot
- Sold at advanced backpack shops (similar rarity to Thieves’ Backpacks)
- Wear when fighting if you don’t need storage
An extremely large backpack designed for combat, the counterweight improves balance to avoid slowing you down – but it’s quite heavy, and the shifting weight is difficult to compensate for
- 1/2 the (vertical) storage space of a Large Backpack
- x4 stacking
- No negative combat speed
- Weighs a lot
- Wide enough to carry big weapons
- Sold at all backpack shops (similar rarity to Large Backpacks)
- Wear when training if you need storage
A simple bag that can hold and stack items. The weight distribution is awful, but it doesn’t interfere with combat
- Same storage space as a Large Backpack
- x9 stacking
- No negative combat stats
- Only 75% weight efficiency
- Sold at all backpack shops (similar rarity to Wooden Backpacks)
- Wear when fighting if you need storage
Intended to be given to prisoners to prevent them from escaping, the additional weight of this backpack slows down the wearer significantly. However, the weight provides additional stability, making the wearer more effective in combat
- +10 Attack/Defense
- -25% Combat Speed
- x9 stacking
- 0% weight efficiency
- Weighs a lot
- Sold at advanced backpack shops (twice as rare as Thieves’ Backpacks)
- Give to prisoners to buff them when fighting them
- Backpacks use the stealth multiplier as the dodge multiplier. While these should almost certainly affect stealth, backpacks that are intended not to affect combat stats also don’t affect stealth
- As with any mod that adds items to existing shops, this will make the vanilla items in a backpack shop slightly rarer
- Import is required
