/// Historical Context ///
+ Operation Battleaxe was a British offensive operation in 1941 aiming to relieve the besieged Tobruk from the German Afrika Korps.
+ As part of British battle plan, the 2nd and 6th Royal Tank Regiment were to capture the Hafid Ridge and Point 208, and engage the supposed concentration of German tanks there.
+ Upon reaching the ridge, they realized that it was not one, but three ridges. Nevertheless, they charged on and fell under heavy fire from well dugged-in German anti-tank guns, including many 88s. At the end  of the day, the British failed to capture the ridge,losing a significant number of cruisers and crusaders in the process.

/// Map notes and tips ///
1. Historical accuracy: while it is not a 100% recreation of the battle due to insufficient information and engine limitation, I have tried my best to ensure historical accuracy while mantaining fun gameplay.
2. This map is designed to be played with the required workshop items and configurations. Maker sure to subscribe to all of those for the intended WW2 experience
3. There are two unused points on the map that only the player can capture to simulate two real events in the battle.
+ As the British: capturing the Desert Flank point will give you extra tanks and allow you to flank the German defenders.
+ As the German: reaching the 5th Panzer Regiment point will allow you to call upon the namesake as reinforcement to help repel the British.
