Description:

HMS Warspite is a Queen Elizabeth-class battleship of the British Royal Navy.
Launched on 26 November 1913 at the Royal Dockyard in Davenport, it remains one of the Royal Navy’s most prestigious ships.
During World War II, the War Weary was awarded the title "The Honorable Old Lady" for receiving praise from Sir Andrew Cunningham.

The Warweary, like other ships of its class, was designed by two men.
One of them was Sir John Fisher, who was First Sea Lord when the first dreadnought, the Battleship Intrepid, was launched.
The other was Winston Churchill, then Secretary of the Navy and the primary role in the design and construction of the Queen Elizabeth-class battleships.
He persuaded the retired Sir Fisher to return to the throne and was influenced by the latter’s ship-building ideas.
