On the original submod website on TWCenter, there are several submods for Hardcore and Softcore versions for DEI.

Softcore Version Changes
– Small reduction to squalor and food penalties on buildings.
– Lowered aggression settings for factions.
– Increased reliability settings for various factions.
– Increased cultural multiplier positives for diplomacy, increased positives for liberating/vassal
– Lowered some AI bonuses, increased some player bonuses.
– Increased income bonus at lower imperium levels, decreased some imperium negatives
