Description:

"Greetings, Shepard Commander. This unit has reached a consensus that you are in need of our abilities and weaponry. We have agreed that you should have access to our M98 Widow anti-materiel rifle for combat purposes."

The M98 Widow is a viciously powerful sniper rifle capable of doing extreme damage to even the toughest of targets. It is ideal for situations where the wielder has a clear line of sight to an armored target. Its inherent power allows it to penetrate armor without needing specialised ammunition.

The M98 Widow;
Several research firms spent a considerable fortune trying to redesign the Widow sniper rifle. Their goal was to retain the Geth weapon’s considerable firepower while reducing its recoil, so that the gun could be fired without breaking a nonsynthetic’s arm. After much trial and error, one company finally produced a usable model that was rolled out to the galactic market.

Well, I took up the "2 day mod" challenge that Kexx set when he went all out to get Grunt ready for us to play with. I REALLY need some sleep, and my brain is currently a pool of goo between my ears but I did it. And not only did I do it, I went big on the textures for the Widow to make it look really nice. So its actually a higher detail level than all my other weapons.

Modding wise, no "cuts" required. I removed the trigger as per usual. I shrunk down the stock end a bit to make it fit in Xcom without chopping it off. Its a shoulder braced stock so I tried to keep as much of the model as I could. I also had to tweak the scope a little, but not a lot so you may not even really notice it apart from me mentioning it here.

*NOTE*
Attachements DO NOT appear on the weapon; This is NOT a bug, its a design decision to keep the weapon from looking "fugly as hell" with attachments added. This is purely cosmetic, and stats will update when attachments are added.

If you like this mod, please rate it. Thank you.
