Description:
Captain’s Shield

This adds a patriotic themed Ranger shield weapon to the game.
Currently usable by the Ranger class as an alternative secondary weapon.

It is not tintable and does not take weapon patterns.
There is no unique model for each tier, only the stats change.

Stats are identical to the base values of the Ranger Swords.

The Tier 3 burning effect has been replaced by a chance to Stun and/or Disorient.

Current Upgrade Costs:
Tier 2 (Arc): 50 Materials
Tier 3 (Fusion): 75 Materials

The upgrade costs can be tweaked in XComCaptainsShield.ini if you feel it’s over or valued.

To create Captain America as depicted in the screenshots, you will need my separate textures mod
called Heroes Pack for the costume pattern.

KNOWN ISSUES:

1. Animation – it currently uses the standard melee animation attack sequences. This gives the
appearance of Cap grabbing the shield by the edge in his attacks instead of by the leather strap.

Looks a bit odd, but nothing I can do about it at the moment.

Until I can figure out how to generate new animation sequences ( probably not happening any time soon 🙂 ),
or the Devs create the much needed Shield class, it will have to remain like this.

2. Stow Location – tried using various standard slot points to give the appearance of him holding it
on his left arm. Until the devs fix the L_HAND slot location, it will have to remain stowed on his back.
