Description:

This is a DMR (Designated Marksman’s Rifle) Option for the Sniper at all tiers.
Availble at the start as a option to all Sharpshooters and after research to unlock the better weapons.

These weapons are a sidegrade, not intended to be outright better than the sniper rifles.
While they have the same ammo capacity, one less damage and a lower crit chance. Emulating the Marksmans rifle of the Long war mod, this weapon allows for the user to steady their aim instead of moving for additional accuracy.

Known issue – Basic DMR weapon will not change when mods are applied to it, this is to do with how the weapon was built, rest assured mods still effect the weapon but their visuals do not.

Some users have reported the mod not loading into old saves, to verify this issue could you please load a new (easy) game and run through the first mission to the point you can equip you soliders.

Due to issues with the models the Plasma and Mag DMR’s are now default rifle placeholders.

Please make sure you back up your save-games:
Copy your ‘Documents/My Games/XCOM 2/XComGame/SaveData’ folder to somewhere safe before installing and using the mod!

ANY SAVES MADE WITH THE MOD ENABLED WILL NOT WORK IF THE MOD IS THEN DISABLED!
This is a feature put in by Firaxis, and is the same with any mod.
