US Presidential Elections
A series of scenarios that represent United States Presidential Elections.
Each US State and Territory is represented on the map as a separate nation, with a number of cities equal to the number of Representatives that were elected from each State in the same election year.
The capitals of each state are based off of what the actual capital of that State (or Territory) was in that year. Territories get only the capital city.
For the States, the remaining cities are based off of (from what I can determine) were the most populous cities in those states according to the census which was used to apportion the number of seats in the House of Representatives.
States are also divided into alliances in the scenario based off of who received the most Electoral Votes from that state in that election year.
A big thanks to Titanium Steel’s scenario conversion python script for making these scenarios possible.
Currently the collection has:
1788 – George Washington (States divided into alliances based off of Vice Presidential Election)
1792 – George Washington, Vice Presidential Election: John Adams (F) vs George Clinton (DR)
1796 – John Adams (F) vs Thomas Jefferson (DR)
1800 – Thomas Jefferson (DR) vs John Adams (F)
1804 – Thomas Jefferson (DR) vs Charles C. Pinckney (F)
1808 – James Madison (DR) vs Charles C. Pinckney (F)
