Hattori – All Units are "Ninjas"
So, it’s quite wide-known that the Hattori clan conists of Shinobi (Ninjas) and folk who have kisho training.
But, would you like to take it even further? To throw off the masks of the Samurai and fight not as one of them, but as a Shinobi? To proclaim the appearance of your clan from the shadows of the Shogun and not just take over Japan, but establish a new rising order composed of the shadows and those who wield it?!
With this Mod, 8 new models are added into the game, turning all units the Hattori can recruit (Monk units are left alone however) into Shinobi! This means that units from the lowly yet dependable Yari Ashigaru to the crew of the mighty and powerful Nihon Maru have their regular unit models replaced by Shinobi!
Now, the Samurai shall know true fear, as they are replaced by those they saw with disdain and disgust!
– Ashigaru and Artillery soldiers have been replaced by Shinobi who may or may not have the Ninja hood and some armor.
– Samurai soldiers have been replaced by Shinobi with proper armor, led by Shinobi with Demon Masks.
– Hero soldiers consist of Shinobi wearing Demon Masks and Helmets, signifying their appearance on the battlefield with a deathly red.
– The Hanzo’s Shadows and Great Guard units have their models replaced by "ordinary farmers", because the best Shinobi is the one who looks nothing like a Shinobi.
– Onna Bushi soldiers consist of Kunoichi, and unlike their samurai Onna Bushi cousins, wear no fancy white-make up.
– Gozen’s Hime Heroines consists of armored Kunoichi, led by a terrifying Kunoichi officer wearing a golden mask.
This mod also changes the unique Kisho Ninja units for Tokugawa and Hattori, buffing both units and giving both extra ammo. However, the Hattori version is slightly superior to the Tokugawa version.
This mod only affects the default shogun 2 units and Hattori units. Only the Hattori clan will have the changed unit skins. Other clans will have the regular unit model, even if they bribe a Hattori unit over to their control. Unique units outside of the default and Hattori-unique units will not have Hattori skins, even if owned by the Hattori Clan.
