🔸 France is a broken nation, split between collaborationist governments and underground resistance.
🔸 Italy controls the Mediterranean, yet its empire is weak, and Mussolini’s rule grows unstable.
🔸 The Soviet Union has collapsed, losing control over Russia. A fragile democratic Russia has emerged, but the remnants of the Soviet regime have retreated to the east, launching a brutal civil war.
🔸 Hitlergrad (formerly Stalingrad) and Göringgrad (formerly Leningrad) stand as grim symbols of German victory in the East.
🔸 Resistance movements rise everywhere, from the Polish underground to partisans in the Alps.
